Welcome, my name is Jason Calderon, I'm dermatologist from University of Florida (U.S.). I want to share in this blog methods to control hyperhidrosis, and my experience in various treatments. I hope to help!

Botox on Armpit and Hands

The application of Botox is currently one of the most advanced and effective solutions to treat hyperhidrosis in the armpits and palms.
Botox on Armpit
On Armpit
The best thing about this technique is that no anesthesia is required and after their application can relax and live a normal life from day one. It is done by injecting the toxin-butolítica around 16 points in each axilla, with a very fine needle is injected into areas determined by the doctor which the patient sweats more. The duration of this treatment in the underarm area is about 6 months.
On the palms
Botox than is applied to the palm of the hand, is more difficult and uncomfortable for the patient, so in this procedure if local anesthesia is required, which prevents for a while driving or any activity that requires using your hands after application, for about 4 days. The results are expected within three days after application and remains in effect for a period of six to nine months. The Botox is injected at about 30 points under the skin of the palm of the hand for maximum effect, since in this area the effect of botulinum toxin is lower.
